Context
Browsing through the pages of the history of the MECSPE trade fair, we find the evolution of the manufacturing industry. Born at the beginning of the new millennium, this event promptly adapted to the changing needs of a constantly transforming sector, becoming a catalyst for the adoption of innovative technologies and sustainable practices. The novelties of the 2024 edition focused on Industry 5.0, aiming to integrate humans and machines for ethical and sustainable production, and on digitalization, which is transforming factories into smart and interconnected environments. Once again, innovation, sustainability, and education, along with the development of skills for new talents, were the three pillars of the fair, thus charting new directions for the industry of the future.
Company
The protagonists of the project were Ferretto Spa and Wipro Ferretto Srl, two important companies operating in the field of intralogistics. Continuing in the footsteps of nearly seventy years of activity, Ferretto Spa is the new company specializing in the design and construction of vertical automated warehouses. All the solutions proposed stem from the history of expertise and quality made in Italy, enabling Ferretto Spa to support its partners worldwide with innovative and personalized systems, capable of efficiently meeting the needs of companies in various industrial sectors. Alongside Ferretto Spa, the stand hosted Wipro Ferretto Srl, a new brand born from the binding agreement with the Indian multinational Wipro: the company, which makes automation its added value, operates internationally, particularly providing automated stacker crane warehouses to businesses. Ferretto Spa feels the responsibility to build sustainable solutions: for partners, for the environment, for the community in which we live. For this reason, they have embarked on a path of concrete actions, from reducing production waste to implementing new systems to achieve energy independence, from introducing environmental balance sheets to awareness-raising activities.

Objective
To pursue its environmental goal, Ferretto not only applies its values during the production of its products but also integrates them into its promotion. Therefore, it has chosen to exclusively use PEFC certified wood for the construction of its stands. The setup of Ferretto's stand required careful selection of certified materials, in line with the company's green approach, to underline its commitment to environmental sustainability. Given the company's renewal, the aim was to create a more modern environment in line with Ferretto's new brand positioning while maintaining a solid industrial identity. The basic idea was to present clean and modern lines, with textural hints that convey a sense of authenticity and solidity. In the context of the stand, particular attention had to be dedicated to the presentation of vertical warehouses, highlighting their functionalities and distinctive features.
Solutions
In Ferretto's stand, there's an element that immediately catches the eye: the back wall, a structure made of black pasta MDF veneered with ash wood, milled to accentuate its distinctive character. Composed of PEFC certified materials, the wall is a tangible demonstration of Ferretto's commitment to the environment, as evidenced by the plaque displayed next to it. The rest of the wall, made of steel, reflects Ferretto's industrial style, creating a fascinating dualism of materials. Facing the wall is the networking area, strategically located between the two imposing vertical machines that catch the eye of anyone approaching the stand. One of the machines is oriented inward, while the other points outward, creating visual dynamism. On the back of each machine, two suspended LED walls offer a detailed view of the functionalities and distinctive features of the products, highlighting the technological aspect that sets them apart. The reception counter at the front of the stand is made of steel, enriched with a ribbed portion that echoes the dualism of the back wall. Here, the logos of the two leading companies, Ferretto Spa and Wipro Ferretto Srl, are prominently displayed.
"Manaly has been by our side for many years for the design and realization of our trade fair stands. Thanks to their professionalism and experience, they have been able to propose evolutions and changes in both style and materials usage, fully meeting the characteristics of our group's Brand Identity."
