Context

The 2025 edition of Labelexpo Europe took place from September 16 to 19 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, marking a historic turning point after many years in Brussels. The move made it possible to expand the exhibition space and offer an even more complete experience for exhibitors and visitors alike. With over 650 companies from more than 130 countries and around 35,000 participants, the event achieved record-breaking results. The focus was on technological innovation, showcasing the latest digital and hybrid printing solutions, increasingly integrated workflows, and advanced automation systems. Sustainability also played a key role, with eco-friendly materials, waste reduction initiatives, and programs such as “Better Stands” and the partnership with DMP Europe for the reuse of print waste. The event also featured a strong educational and cultural dimension: the Pulse Arena hosted seminars on crucial topics such as flexible packaging, folding carton, RFID, artificial intelligence, and new regulations. Visitors were able to see live production lines in action and take part in networking events, such as the “Barcelona Party.

Company

Albertin is a leading company in the production of printing plates and flexographic plates, with over 45 years of experience. From the very beginning, it has chosen innovation as its hallmark, investing in state-of-the-art machinery, software, and increasingly advanced processes to support clients in creating unique products. The headquarters in Cinisello Balsamo covers 3,000 square meters of production space and houses 40 specialized technicians dedicated to producing all types of plates. The company is equipped with cutting-edge machinery for chemical and mechanical engraving, high-resolution flexo CTP, and equipment designed to meet the most diverse printing requirements. Albertin’s continuous pursuit of new solutions leads to exclusive effects such as micro and nano engravings, coatings, embossing, and hot stamping. Each process is designed to enhance details and make products distinctive and recognizable.

Objective

For Labelexpo Europe 2025, Albertin wanted to present itself with a fresh image aligned with its identity. The booth needed to convey the values that have always defined the company: elegance, precision, and attention to detail. The challenge was to highlight products of small size yet great value, making them the true protagonists of the space while preserving their refinement. From the very beginning, the brief was clear: black had to be the main color. A choice consistent with the client’s taste, capable of communicating prestige and sobriety without excess. The goal was to create a space that was both elegant and accessible, where visitors could closely observe the products, perceive their value, and at the same time feel welcomed.

Solution

The project was developed around a simple yet impactful concept: black as the visual foundation, applied to both floors and walls. The glossy floor reflected the lights, adding a dramatic touch, while blue details—Albertin’s corporate color—broke the monochrome scheme, reinforcing the strong link with the company’s identity. The booth was designed to be clear and functional: a side niche dedicated to meetings, a reception area near the entrance, and, on the adjacent wall, the product display. Here, plates and flexographic tools were presented with a museum-like approach, positioned at picture-frame height to emphasize their artistic value. At the center, transparent cases highlighted the gold- and silver-plated pieces, made even more radiant by the contrast with black. To engage visitors, an interactive element was introduced: rolls of stickers featuring Albertin’s graphics, which guests could peel off and take with them. On the outside, a wall with a pantograph-cut logo completed the booth, delivering a clean design with strong visual impact.
