Objective
The goal was to bring to life the outcome of a European project in which Manaly participated, aimed at the design, production and introduction to the market of a sustainable pre-assembled stand product. The meeting in 2024 with EdilCross and the emerging BIVE fair in Vicenza provided the perfect opportunity to implement the project called “ECOSTAND”, a highly customisable pre-assembled stand with a natural look and a strong focus on sustainability. The creation of Ecostand was also made possible thanks to the support of several partners, such as CLV, of which we are a part, who helped us build a short supply chain system, enhancing local wood and regional expertise.
ECOSTAND project for BIVE
Solution
For the BIVE – Biennale Veneto Edilizia fair, we at Manaly built around 50 ECOSTANDs. The structures are made of wooden beams and honeycomb panel walls. Every element was designed to be dismantled, stored and reassembled at future events, drastically reducing waste production. The identification tags are made of ecopanel with recycled carpet, while the fabric graphics can be reused by exhibitors in future editions. Even the furnishings are provided on a rental basis, promoting the principle of reuse and optimisation of resources. The benefits achieved include:- Environmental: thanks to reduced waste, lower CO₂ emissions, and the use of certified materials;- Economic: due to lower production and transport costs and longer life span;- Functional: thanks to modularity, quick assembly, and design customisation.
“The collaboration with Manaly on the ECOSTAND project allowed us to offer a modern, elegant and sustainable solution, bringing innovation to a constantly evolving sector. The joint work between us at EdilCross and Manaly was also made possible thanks to a value-based affinity that distinguishes both organisations.”
